Thank you all so much for your advice on the tattoo issue.
I'll post a response to a few of your comments later, but I don't have much time today. I just wanted to post that I'm 136, which means 3lbs down in 3 days :) & that I've made my decision about the tattoo.
I'm going to ask the tattoo artist to place the outline for the feather on my side (either tonight or tomorrow depending on time) that way my husband can see it before it's permanent and no matter how he feels about it after actually seeing it, I'm still going through with it when I hit 130.

He may not like the idea now, but it will just take some getting used to.
I have dated a few men who didn't like tats were until they saw mine, found them to be sexy and eventually I would go with them to lose their own tatoo virginity.
I would be thoughtful of his feelings by giving it time to sink in, but be firm in your resolve.
The important part here is that you are NOT doing something that impedes his ability to be happy.
Plus, you only get to live this life once... go for it!

Part of the reason I'm not sure if I ever want to be married is because I kinda hate the idea of having to consult someone else. I hadn't even thought about it in regards to my own body, but more like decisions on where we'd live/move, stuff like that.
Hope your husband decides he's alright with it though, so you don't have to deal with him being upset.
